[Solira] fetchmail e dintorni

Salve a tutti e ben ritrovati dopo le vacanze estive.
Riallacciandomi al discorso sulla shell contest, avrei un quesito da porvi.
Allora, ho intenzione di gestire due caselle di posta elettronica che ho con 
Infinito e Tin.it attraverso il protocollo IMAP ed un client testuale come 
Mutt, utilizzando fetchmail per visualizzare le e-mail presenti sui due 
server.
Bene, ho installato fetchmail ed avviato la comoda utility di configurazione 
fetchmailconf che si trova in /usr/bin/.
Le informazioni da inserire sono molto banali come l'indirizzo del server 
IMAP, il nome utente e la password utilizzata per scaricare la posta. 
Alla fine il mio .fetchmailrc risulta essere questo:

Come si può notare, fetchmail prende l'indirizzo del server IMAP di Infinito e 
Tin.it e lo "appicica" alla parte dominio del nome utente; in questo modo, 
come ovvio, la procedura di autenticazione non potrà mai avere esito 
favorevole.
Come si esce da questo ginepraio?
